Pittsburgh, PA: Frick Art, Historical Center & Cafe

When it comes to gems, Pittsburgh, PA has its share. The Frick Art and Historical Center is located on the perfectly landscaped gardens in Pittsburgh’s East End. From one building to the next on the property, you will be piece of culture, history or simple beauty.
The Frick Art & Historical Center is here in Pittsburgh thanks to the generosity of Helen Clay Frick, daughter of Henry Clay Frick. When the Frick family moved to New York City in 1905, Helen remained attached to Clayton, her Pittsburgh home (see below).
Along with the amazing sights, there is also the Cafe at the Frick which you cannot miss.

The Café at the Frick has been named one of Pittsburgh’s top restaurants. The picturesque setting is only one part of it.

The menu is a much talked about part of the experience complete with soups and salads, gourmet sandwiches and entrées, afternoon tea specialties, and desserts all prepared from scratch on the historic Frick grounds. In fact, the vegetables used in the recipes are grown right on site!
